Director of Communications

About the role

The Communications Director oversees AAMPLIFY’s communications and marketing, including web, social media, and print materials. The Communications Director will collaborate with the Board of Directors to produce and edit engaging content that will improve awareness of AAMPLIFY’s mission and programs and increase impact. The Communications Director will also work closely with a Social Media intern, who will create social media content for AAMPLIFY’s Instagram.

 

If you are a strong communicator interested in supporting AAMPLIFY’s mission to empower Asian American youth and enjoy pursuing creative outlets to engage in community, this role is for you. Strong written communication and organizational skills are required. 

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for empowering and serving the AAPI community

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills

  • Team player with a good sense of humor

  • No previous social media or professional communications experience required, but those with SEO/analytics or design experience are highly encouraged to apply

  • This is a remote position

 

This role is a two-year volunteer commitment of 5-10 hours per month. All applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
